(a) the number of persons benefited throughout the country with the launch of Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana by the Government so far;
(b) whether the benefits of the scheme have been availed in Haryana particularly Kurukshetra district so far and if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government proposes to link more and more people with this scheme; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

Will the Minister of FINANCE be pleased to state:-
(a) the number of persons benefited throughout the country with the launch of Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana by the Government so far;
(b) whether the benefits of the scheme have been availed in Haryana particularly Kurukshetra district so far and if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government proposes to link more and more people with this scheme; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?
ANSWER
The MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE
(a) A total of 1,70,72,858 girl children have benefited in the country under the scheme since the launch of the scheme upto 31.05.2019.
(b) Yes, Sir. The benefits of the scheme have been availed in Haryana including Kurukshetra District. A total of 5,68,800 and 9600 accounts have been opened since the launch of the scheme upto 31.05.2019 in the State of Haryana and Kurukshetra District respectively.
(c)&(d) Yes, Sir. The scheme is being offered to public through Post Offices and Banks throughout the country.
