The eligible beneficiaries are also entitled to receive the cash incentive as per approved norms towards Maternity Benefit under Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) after institutional delivery so that on an average, a woman gets Rupees Six Thousand. Both the PMMVY and Anganwadi Services Schemes are being implemented across the country.
The conditions attached with release of instalments of maternity benefits are meant for improving health seeking behaviour amongst PW&LM.
At present there is no proposal to increase the maternity benefits provided under PMMVY to PW&LM with the Ministry.
