Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government is taking any steps to monitor the number of beneficiaries and allocation of funds for Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) in State of Bihar;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government has taken any measures to promote the participation of private hospitals to take care of beneficiaries under PMJAY; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b) This is being monitored closely.
The maximum Grant-in-Aid that can be paid to the State of Bihar is Rs.720.17 crore based upon the maximum celling criteria. The same has been allocated for the State of Bihar.
(c) & (d) State Governments through State Health Agencies empanel hospitals within their jurisdiction to provide care to identified beneficiary families. As far as private hospitals under PMJAY are concerned, defined criteria and hospital empanelment guidelines have been adopted by the States. As on 09.07.2019, 15,955 hospitals (7992 Private & 7963 Public) have been empanelled under PMJAY.
